Crown's Flix spins new promotional opportunities for cans

21 June 2012

Crown Bevcan Europe and Middle East has launched Flix a new promotional tool for beverage cans. The triangular disks clip underneath the base of the beverage can and are released using a coin or another disk to send them spinning from the can base. Scottish lager brand, Tennent’s, will mark the first application of the Flix technology with the launch of its “golden ticket” competition in Northern Ireland. The disks will be incorporated on selected cans of lager with winners receiving tickets to Tennent’s Vital music festival in August 2012.

The promotional opportunities the disks present are numerous, according to Crown, as they can be printed with brand logos, product information or other graphics. It is ideally suited for high value-high impact promotional campaigns with valuable or collectible giveaways. For added flexibility, multiple designs can be printed in a single run, offering brands the opportunity to create a collectible set of disks. It can be used to contain digital information for social marketing campaigns; printed with codes or unique decorations; or even used like a jigsaw piece with other promotional tools
