UK-based specialist waste and recyclables storage supplier Cromwell Polythene has launched an online service webuypolythene.com to expand its reprocessing of transit packaging waste and surplus and redundant stock.
The Leeds company says webuypolythene.com – an offshoot of its recycling division – will buy redundant stocks of plastic, in-house production waste and transit packaging, including cardboard waste, with much of the recovered polythene to be used in the manufacture of new refuse and recycling sacks that Cromwell Polythene supplies to the local authority, waste management and cleaning and janitorial sectors.
The material purchased will be sorted and baled at Cromwell’s 21,000sqft recycling facility, before being returned to the company’s production partners as part of its ‘closed loop’ sustainability strategy.
“As a registered waste carrier and EA accredited exporter we can offer a secure and auditable trail, from collection to reprocessing,” says Cromwell Polythene managing director Garth Imison.
