CPS perfumes filler acquired by Swiss luxury firm

4 February 2013

Founded in 2005, CPS is active in the preparation, filling and packaging of perfumes and cosmetics for customers including Art & Fragrance-owned Lalique Parfums and Jaguar Fragrances.

The company's collaboration with Lalique dates back to 2007, while it has also previously cooperated with Nina Ricci and other high profile names in the sector.

The company also provides associated logistics services such as storage of components and finished goods, as well as handling and shipping.

Roger von der Weid, CEO of Art & Fragrance, said: "By in-sourcing the production and logistics for our perfume brands, we are controlling and securing a key element in our value chain.

"This is an important strategic advantage in light of our now significant perfume volume. We also expect savings in our production and logistics costs in the medium term."

All of the approximately 70 CPS employees will be retained by Art & Fragrance, and the company says it expects to increase the site's capacity, with likely investment in new equipment and jobs.

Art & Fragrance is a niche player in the creation, development, marketing and global distribution of luxury goods, specialising in perfumes, cosmetics, crystal, jewellery, high-end furniture and living accessories and art. Founded in 2000, the company employs about 500 staff.
