Two years after the launch of its Ultralight coffret, gift packaging specialist Cosfibel Premium is offering an “entirely foldable and glue-free” new version of the cartonboard pack.
Maintaining the luxurious and ecological hallmarks of the original Ultralight, the new version is entirely foldable and produced 100% in Asia or Europe “without cutting corners when it comes to aesthetics or perceived value”, according to the France-based company.
Cosfibel describes the patented Ultralight coffret as “surprisingly lightweight while remaining stiff and thick [with] a highly streamlined design with wide edges and sharp angles”.
“To safeguard the sharp angles and allow the folding coffret to be more practical, it was conceived with the technique of ‘scoring’,” the company says.
“This folding system relies on two grooves of 45° each that create a perfect right angle when mounted. And to assemble the edges, no more glue.”
Delivered flat to cut down on transportation costs, the Ultralight coffret is mounted “in the blink of an eye”, thanks to a ‘detent’ system.
With its board base, FSC card sheath and water-based ink decoration, Ultralight is also easy to recycle.
Following its launch in 2009, Ultralight was awarded the Pack&Green Prize in 2011, and has since been selected by Moët & Chandon, Jack Daniel’s, Johnnie Walker and Swiss luxury skincare company Valmont.
