Clondalkin Wentus launches high barrier skin-tight flexible packaging film

17 January 2014

Clondalkin Wentus has introduced WENTOPRO-SkinTight, a new skin-tight film for the food processing industry.

According to the Höxter, Germany-based company, the long shelf life and high barrier properties of WENTOPRO-SkinTight film makes it suitable for a wide range of food products including fresh, frozen and processed meat, poultry, fish and sea food products, as well as cheese and ready meals.

With its high vacuum properties, the “invisible” film surrounds the product like a second skin, Clondalkin Wentus says, giving a natural look for maximum shelf appeal, as well as providing a safe and secure seal to prevent against contamination and leakage.

“Unlike similar products in the market WENTOPRO-SkinTight is formulated to seal on all widely available films and trays and is combatible with all types of converting machines,” says Christian Claes, new business development director at Clondalkin Wentus.

“It has an easy peel corner for consumer convenience and because of its long shelf life properties it helps retailers reduce waste and keep products fresh and looking attractive for longer.”

A leading supplier of hygiene film, foils and laminates servicing the food, convenience goods, hygiene, agricultural and horticultural markets, Clondalkin Wentus is an extrusion and integrated converting company offering mono, co-ex and multilayer barrier films, as well as cast polypropylene and fully biodegradable films.
