Claranor to unveil new aseptic cap sterilisation unit

15 August 2013

Highlight of a range of innovations for the beverage industry to be presented by Claranor at the Munich Drinktec expo in September will be a new patented system of cap sterilisation unit for extended shelf life (ESL) and acid aseptic filling lines.

According to Claranor, the equipment enables the sterilisation of the whole cap, while standard units only treat the inside of the caps.

“The system demonstrated during the Drinktec exhibition will then be installed on a 65 days shelf life chilled dairy products filling line, on an industrial plant in Germany,” the company says.

Other Claranor sterilisation solutions for the beverage sector on display at Claranor booth (Hall A4, Booth 315) will include: 5 gallon caps; double-chute equipment; preform necks, enabling a combined perform; cap treatment without chemicals; and a new system for the sterilisation of aluminium foils.

Founded in 2004 and based in Avignon, Claranor has installed more than 80 sterilisation pulsed light units worldwide.
