Winner of European Metal Packaging (Empac) competition, 'The Next 200 Years', was Atit Bhatia of Hindustan Tin Works, who scooped the €10,000 prize for his Canvironment project to raise awareness about metal packaging and its role towards a greener future. The can aimed to preserve and protect the nutritious value of fresh food, to help prevent food wastage for 200 years. The money will be used to scale up Canvironment Week 2011 and uplift the lives of the rag pickers in India.
