Burgopak is a Top 10 hit

Burgopak has been listed among the ‘Top 10’ products designed in the UK, by a manufacturing industry publication.

The Burgopak design was created 12 years ago, by designer and entrepreneur Burgo Wharton, states The Manufacturer. It comprises an innovative, patented sliding mechanism that has since been used worldwide to package CDs, DVDs, gift cards, SIM cards, confectionery and mobile phones all over the world. There are 60 people employed in four offices on three continents. An estimated 90 million Burgopak boxes have been supplied.

More recently, the Burgopak design has moved into the pharmaceuticals sector with customers including Bayer and Sanofi-Aventis. A key benefit is that the product is able to keep the patient information booklet, blisters and outer carton all together.

The other companies on the Top 10 list announced in November are Aston Martin, ARM,? JCB,? P&G Gillette,? Sunseeker,? Aquamarine Power,? Bladon Jets,?Thales and? WFEL.?
