Bosch ups capacity in Japan pharma inspection technology competence centre move

8 April 2014

In a €1.6 million investment, Bosch Packaging Technology has moved into a new location at Musashi, to the north of Tokyo, Japan.

As a result of the move to the 3,240m2 premises, Bosch Packaging Technology now has considerably more space compared to its former site at Honjo, for the development and assembly of its machines to serve the major Japanese market for pharmaceuticals inspection technology.

Musashi becomes one of four Bosch Packaging Technology sites in Japan.

The company develops and assembles processing and packaging machines and robotics for the food and pharmaceuticals industries at its Funabashi site, located east of Tokyo, and has sales offices in Tokyo and Osaka.

“Expansion of the Bosch global centre of competence in Japan is important for our innovative strength,” says Peter Tyroller, the member of the Bosch board of management with responsibility for the Asia-Pacific region.

“We want to offer our customers outstanding products that are both beneficial and fascinating.”

According to Bosch, a leading provider of complete solutions for process and packaging technology, the pharmaceuticals industry is seeing “constantly rising” demand for product safety and quality – and thus also for inspection solutions.
