Bosch launches Pack 101 horizontal flow wrapper

3 October 2013

Bosch Packaging Technology has introduced the new Pack 101 entry-level horizontal flow wrapper, said to possess the widest pack size range available for wrappers in its class.

According to the Germany-based machinery supplier, the Pack 101’s fully adjustable former and multiple cutting head sizes permit a wide range of products to be packaged on a single machine.

This reduces the need for future investment and gives manufacturers the agility to quickly adapt to changing market demands, the company says.

Designed for the packaging of confectionery, bakery, snacks, medical devices and applications, prepared foods, hardware, consumer goods, and many other foods and non-foods, the machine is said to be ideal for businesses needing a flexible solution that accommodates multiple products.

“The Pack 101 is designed for small to mid-sized companies looking to maximise their return on investment in packaging equipment,” says Craig Collett, director of HFFS and secondary systems, Bosch Packaging Technology, Inc.

“It equips them with state-of-the-art technology, and the flexibility to rapidly adapt to changes in the marketplace.”

Outfitted with all-electronic control of motors and drives, the Pack 101 is designed for automated and quick changeovers, and shares production-proven technology applied on Bosch’s higher-end horizontal flow wrappers for reliable and continuous operation.

Designed for easy cleaning and maintenance, pushers are easily exchangeable, and the cutting head can be cleaned without the need for re-synchronising.
