Bontite blown film made better

9 February 2011

Manufacturer of polythene transit packaging, bpi.stretchfilms, part of British Polythene Industries (BPI), has launched Bontite, a pallet stretchwrap range that offers the best of blown films and cast technology combined.

The products employ a proprietary blend of polymers to provide ‘exceptional’ film clarity for a better pallet presentation and easier bar code scanning. They are also quieter in use – a feature associated with cast film, adds the company.

Louise Aplin, Marketing Manager at bpi.stretchfilms, explains: “Having a low unwind noise level, the Bontite range contributes to a quieter, more pleasant working environment.”

Bontite’s load holding forces are said to surpass that of other heavier gauge cast films and at lower stretch levels. This makes Bontite films suitable for use on palletised products including heavy, irregular or awkward loads and also lighter, easily crushable goods.

The films can be produced in various cling configurations, such as an inside or outside cling and a high slip level on the non-cling face to help prevent inter-pallet adhesion.
