Rigid packaging manufacturer Ardagh Group has installed a new food can line at its plant in Bila Tserkva, Ukraine.
The Ireland-headquartered company has invested more than €4m in state of the art three-piece can making equipment that will enable it to expand its sale of high quality cans to the food and dairy industries in Ukraine and Moldova.
Ardagh (Metal Food Europe) sales director Tim Clarke said: “This important investment shows our commitment to this exciting and challenging market, where we have been active for a number of years.
“Our aim is to further grow and develop our food can production in this region, and this is a significant step towards achieving our ambitions.”
The new line will produce more than 100 million cans a year.
Ardagh Group produces metal and glass packaging for most of the world’s leading food, beverage and consumer care brands, operating 91 manufacturing plants in 25 countries and employing approximately 15,000 people, with global sales in excess of €3.5 billion.
