Amcor increases Stelvin capacity in Chile

18 April 2012

Amcor Flexibles has relocated its existing Stelvin screw cap production site in Santiago, Chile, to within closer proximity of the country’s major wine producing regions.

A response to continued market growth for the closure format, the new facility allows Amcor’s capsules business to improve its customer service thanks to increased production capacity and warehouse facilities.

Attending the opening ceremony at the end of March, Amcor Flexibles Europe & America president Peter Brues said: “With the improved facility, Amcor is proud to re-enforce its position as the partner of choice for customers in South America.”

Amcor Flexibles Santiago manufactures both wine overcaps and Stelvin and Stelvin+ screw caps for wine. The group also has capsules production facilities in France, Canada and the USA.
