AKRONN RELEASE LINERS: New senior management, new film-based products
Akronn Industries, a leading-edge silicone release liner and coating business launched last year by Stellar Films Group, Malaysia, has announced two important senior appointments - and at the same time launched a significant expansion of its product range.
Management appointments
Based at the company's state-of-the-art purpose-built production facility in Nilai, near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Mr Raflee Abdullah is appointed the company's Chief Operating Officer, and Mr Theo Wilting Chief Executive Officer of Akronn Sdn Bhd, Malaysia. A Six Sigma Black Belt, and with extensive international management experience, Mr Abdullah joins Akronn Industries from Chemical Company of Malaysia, where he was Director of the company's Fertilizers Division.
New CEO Mr Theo Wilting, most recently Business Development Director for Stellar Films Malaysia, has long experience in the world of release liners in management rôles with leading global manufacturers
New film liners
Focussed on solvent-free coating of both paper and film release liners for applications in hygiene, photovoltaics, graphic arts, tapes, and other industrial markets, the eco-friendly Akronn facility has added new technically-advanced film liners to its product range, including 30 µm MOPP, 19 µm MPET and 40 and 50 µm BOPP - all of which are available one- and two-sides coated, and offering differential release levels.
Global sales network
Akronn's products complement the high-performance cast embossed release films that are central to Stellar Films' global product offering, and both ranges may be sourced by customers through Stellar Films Group's extensive global sales network.
