Powerful adhesive for UV varnished stock

23 September 2008

BONDS TO MANY DIFFICULT SURFACES

UV varnished materials, and other smooth shiny surfaces are notoriously difficult to bond, but so confident is the company that this is the ultimate adhesive for bonding difficult packaging substrates that Sales Director, Bill Howlett claims if this product will not bond the substrate, no other hot melt will!

The adhesive, TecBond 265, is a light brown synthetic polymer based product which exhibits excellent adhesion to many difficult substrates including polyester, polycarbonate, nylon, rigid PVC as well as difficult varnished boards. This makes it an ideal choice for point of sale displays that use many different materials in each display.

UK PRODUCED

It is manufactured in Power’s state-of-the-art factory in Basildon, Essex to ISO 9001 standards and is produced in 43mm diameter slugs. It is applied using conventional industrial glue guns such as the TEC 3200 or TEC 6100 with outputs up to 3 kgs per hour.

HIGH HEAT RESISTANCE AND COLD TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE

The adhesive has a high heat resistance of 80 degrees C and will withstand temperatures down to minus 40 degrees C. It is supplied in 10 kg boxes containing approx 170 slugs.
